Action required - Your seller performance is Below Standard

Your seller level is Below Standard in US. We may apply limits or restrictions on your account if your performance hasn't improved by October.


You can continue to sell on eBay but you should focus on improving your performance. Until your seller level improves, you may be charged a higher final value fee on items sold in this region and your listings will be ranked lower in search results.


There's time to improve
We take seller performance very seriously, but we do recognize that some sellers need time to improve their performance once they've been made aware that they've fallen Below Standard. So, if we see that you've improved cases closed without seller resolution from September to October, we'll give you more time before limiting or restricting your account.

Keep in mind that you should have less cases closed without seller resolution in October than you had in September. You can track your progress on your Seller Dashboard.


If you use Promoted Listings, you are currently ineligible
Now that your seller level is Below Standard, you are ineligible for Promoted Listings. As a result, all of your campaigns have been temporarily paused and you can't create or edit campaigns. You can still view your campaign data and download reports from your Promoted Listings dashboard. You may also see sales continue to be attributed to Promoted Listings throughout the 30-day attribution window. Once your seller level is Above Standard or Top Rated your paused campaigns will automatically become active again. How to prevent a transaction defect
- Try to resolve issues before a buyer opens a return request. If we're asked to step in and help with an eBay Money Back Guarantee case and you are found to be responsible for the issue, this results in a defect that we refer to as a "case closed without seller resolution"

How to get back on track
- Respond promptly to requests from buyers
- Resolve any requests or cases in the Resolution Center as soon as possible
